About This Course

Prepare for the CompTIA Project+ PK0-005 Exam

Develop the practical knowledge needed to coordinate and manage small-to-medium technology projects with this CompTIA Project+ PK0-005 exam preparation course. The course covers the complete project lifecycle, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, change control and closure.

CompTIA Project+ is designed for professionals who manage projects as part of their wider job responsibilities. Unlike certifications based on one specific methodology, Project+ covers Agile, Waterfall and hybrid approaches within IT and business environments.

About the PK0-005 Exam

The CompTIA Project+ PK0-005 exam contains a maximum of 90 questions. Candidates may encounter single-response multiple-choice questions, multiple-response questions and performance-based questions.

The examination allows 90 minutes for completion. CompTIA recommends approximately six to twelve months of hands-on experience managing or participating in projects within an IT environment. However, there are no formal certification prerequisites.

The examination validates your ability to:

  • Manage the complete project lifecycle

  • Coordinate small-to-medium projects

  • Communicate with project stakeholders

  • Manage risks, issues, changes and resources

  • Maintain project documentation and artifacts

  • Support larger technology projects

  • Apply Agile, Waterfall and hybrid approaches

  • Recognize basic IT, security and governance requirements

Candidates should verify current requirements through the official CompTIA Project+ certification page before purchasing an exam voucher.

Score and Pass Mark

The passing score for the CompTIA Project+ PK0-005 exam is 710 on a scale of 100–900.

This is a scaled score, not a simple percentage of correctly answered questions. CompTIA does not publish the exact number of questions candidates must answer correctly, and different questions may carry different scoring values.

With up to 90 questions in 90 minutes, candidates must manage their time carefully. Performance-based questions may require more time than standard multiple-choice questions. The course therefore provides timed practice, applied project scenarios and five full-length mock examinations.

Answer every question whenever possible. If a performance-based question appears difficult, consider flagging it, completing the shorter questions and returning to it before the examination ends.

The official certification is awarded only after passing the authorized PK0-005 examination. Candidates can schedule their examination through the CompTIA Pearson VUE testing portal.
